Last Minute Recital Information

Student Recital Pick-up:

Students (especially the younger students) can be picked up at the dancers’ entrance after they have performed their last dance. We would appreciate it if only one parent comes to the entrance. If your child’s last dance is close to intermission please wait until intermission to pick up your child. The children may go back into the theatre to watch the end of the show with their parents. No dancer will be dismissed during the last 5 numbers of the recital since teachers and staff will be unavailable to release children. Immediately following the recital, the rest of the dancers will be dismissed from the dancers’ entrance.

Pictures & Recital DVD:

Picture sitting times are still available, please see picture person at the front entrance table of the theatre. A recital DVD can still be ordered, forms are also available at the picture table.

Please remember that The Haverford School campus is smoke free & peanut free. Please follow the rules of the campus. Thank you and Enjoy the Show!

Both Show Students – Information

Most students that are dancing in both shows will not be staying back stage between shows. If you are not picking up your child between shows and they will be staying back stage, please send food with them to the recital. They are to mark their names clearly on the bag or containers, and drop it off to Mrs. Rawling at the stage door. No food is to be brought back stage during the show.

We do not have any access to refrigeration so we can’t keep food or drinks cold.

Recital First Costume List

The following is a list of costumes students should wear to the recital. If you have any questions please see one of the teachers. All new parents please note: When we refer to Tap costume the students should wear the fringe skirt or satin skirt which is sometimes attached to the costume. Ballet costume includes a net tutu most times. All props needed for the dances are given to the students at the recital.

This list is a guideline for parents of younger students. If you are only in one class - Pre-Pointe, Pointe , Hip Hop etc. and your class is not listed please come in your costume. All students that take multiple classes should ask the teachers which is your first dance or get dressed at the theatre.

Please note: If unsure about costume pieces see the teachers before you secure anything that would make the pieces permanent.

Students are to wear dance shoes with the costumes. Leave street shoes either in the car or take them with you. Please do not send students backstage wearing their street shoes… Mark all costume pieces, shoes and dance bags clearly. NO food or drinks including water are permitted in Theatre or backstage.
